The PACE model is centered on the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs and their families to be served in their community whenever possible. Seniors, their family members, and caregivers face many issues, including transportation to appointments, management of medications, coordination of medical care from different specialists, lack of social interaction, and ability to stay alone at home. On Lok PACE participants receive in home care services and transportation to a On Lok PACE center for primary medical care, social and recreational activities, and other senior care services. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Associate Director, the Receptionist Supervisor provides operational support to the Day Health Center and directs and supervises the Center Receptionists and Clinic Receptionists. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides leadership and direction to the reception staff, ensuring continuity and consistency of program support through dissemination of incoming participant information, assistance in coordination of transportation, ICCIS data entry and oversight of in-house specialist schedules across all centers. In partnership with the Program Manager, ensures that reception staff are effectively performing duties and provides ongoing coaching and training. Insures efficiency, responsiveness and professionalism in reception operations through the staffing of phones, assisting incoming participants and visitors and monitoring lobby activity. Supervises, evaluates and develops weekday, clinic and weekend receptionists. Serves as an effective link with On Lok's administration, OLSHS's management team and department staff through effective communication, productive collaboration, demonstrated leadership and facilitation of change opportunities. Advances the goals and objectives of the organization by developing supporting department specific performance goals, implementing quality improvement plans in the department, participating in establishing and monitoring financial targets, and working collaboratively with other managers on issues related to quality programming, efficiency and cost effectiveness. Maintains active involvement in the promotion of On Lok in the community. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities): Four years of receptionist experience. Two years of supervisory experience. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. Interest, demonstrated ability and/or experience in working with the elderly. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel). Bilingual ability may be required for specific assignments. The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed.
